Our Founding Story

Old World Living began with a simple idea: more people deserve to experience the kind of craftsmanship that turns a backyard into a place you never want to leave.

Founded by Thomas Blattner in Beaver, PA, the company grew quietly through neighbors sharing something that just felt different. Not just furniture, but pieces shaped by steady hands, time-honored methods, and a deep respect for doing things well.

That vision took hold on a long drive delivering Amish-built furniture to coastal homes, where the conversation shifted from practicality to something deeper: how rare it is to find pieces that hold up to both the elements and everyday life without losing their beauty.

Today, Old World Living offers Amish-built poly furniture handcrafted to order, made to endure, and designed for real moments: morning coffee in stillness, long conversations as the sun sets, the kind of evenings you don’t rush. Rooted in tradition but made for modern living, each piece helps turn outdoor spaces into places that feel calm, grounded, and lived in.
